I just want to thank everyone for making my Birthday special yesterday.
I got up from bed my mom came to say happy birthday, then my brother got up super early for him to say the same, (well I think Dreke went to remind him it was my birthday so he got up), then although dad was in bed sleeping he told mom to have me come in before I went to school, they all are so cute! I checked my email before school and my sister had written a card that almost made me cry, one of the girls from our drop in center from Ireland Chloe, Lindy from Pinetop, and Nik. Wow! I can't believe they remembered!
As I was getting to school Jojo called and was like "what is today Cela?" I said, "Friday." He said what else is today?" " A half day at school," was my reply. Then he was like, "there is something else." "Ok, ok I'm getting older!" Bingo I got the answer right! hee hee. That was so sweet for him to call.
I got to school and it was like any other day except when we came in from getting the kids in the morning Mrs. G the kids had a balloon with a card and cookies, they all sang to me. I totally didn't expect that they are sneaky because I don't even know they were signing the card and I am there all day with them. They were very cute all day saying "Happy Birthday Ms. Cela!"
Jojo's brother Kofi called to say "Happy Birthday" at lunch. Then Allyson sang to me on my voice mail, my friend Jim also called. Coraline and Alfred were very kind and gave me blessings for my 25th year of life. Allyson called again as she was going to Pinetop and had all the people in the van or driving with her sing to me, how awesome to have friends like that!
When I got home Grandma called, it was her birthday on Wednesday we took her to Red Lobster, she was on her way to a late birthday present of going to see the Lion King but she wanted to call anyways. My Grandpa loves Souper Salad so he was wanting to go there to celebrate and put a candle on a piece of lettuce, I told him that he has to go to the Lion King, maybe next time. ha ha.
My family took me too My Big Fat Greek Restaurant, it was fun, I love it when they have a flaming dish and they say OPA! Gabe got to waiters to come over to sing to me, I think they were Greek so when they asked for my name they kept saying it over, "Cela, Stella, Cela, Maricela, Cela" but it was funny with the accents. I was thinking I have a lot more nicknames if you want to hear them.
Overall it was a very specail day, I got a New Dvd/Cd player for my room along with The Phantom of the Opera soundtrack! How cool is that?! I was in my bed because the player has a remote and I was listening to my cd with my eyes closed smiling because I love the music.
Thank you everone for remembering me on my birthday! You all made me feel so very specail and loved! Thanks again! I love you all!

My brother Gabe and I had a date tonight to see "The Phantom of the Opera." I was so excited because I know almost all of the songs because we have sung them in choir or I have sung them as solos for recitals and whatnot. This was Gabe's second time but he said it was way better seeing it with me! AWW! I love going to a movie or musical and being able to know most of the songs because for me it makes it more enjoyable, especially when the people who are singing it have amazing voices like in this movie. When it comes to love songs I melt, can't help it that's just how it is. The hard part of going to a movie like this is when you don't have a singing voice it is torture!!! Please I know I just asked this but pray that my voice will come back, I think I am getting depressed because I miss my voice. That may sound vain but I love to sing and this is so hard for me. Anyways, the love song from the movie I want to share the lyrics to because they are so beautiful. If you don't like love songs you don't have to read any further ;)

(Raoul) No more talk of darkness
Forget these wide-eyed fears
I’m here, nothing can harm you
My words will warm and calm you
Let me be your freedom
Let daylight dry your tears
I’m here, with you and beside you
To guard you and to guide you

(Christine) Say you love me every waking moment
Turn my head with talk of summertime
Say you need me with you now and always
Promise me that all you say is true
That's all I ask of you

[Raoul] Let me be your shelter
Let me be your light
You’re safe, no one will find you
Your fears are far behind you

[Christine] All I want is freedom
A world with no more night
And you, always beside me
To hold me and to hide me

[Raoul] Then say you’ll share with me one love, one lifetime
Let me lead you from your solitude
Say you need me with you here, beside you
Anywhere you go, let me go too Christine, that's all I ask of you

[Christine] Say you’ll share with me one love, one lifetime Say the word and I will follow you

[Both] Share each day with me, each night, each morning

[Christine] Say you love me

[Raoul] You know I do

[Both] Love me, that's all I ask of you … Anywhere you go, let me go too
Love me, that's all I ask of you

Well it has been an interesting couple of weeks, interning is way different than student teaching let me tell you I am learning so much more than when I was an intern. First of all I am not used to being somewhere so early ok it is only 7:30 but it still feels like it is way early especially if I want to look nice then I have to get up at like 5:30. The kids are amazing, my teacher is amazing so organized and put together. She always knows what she is doing. I am learning a lot about how first graders are in the classroom and out, they need a lot of direction, they still cry a lot. I sometimes want to cry with them because when you look into their eyes and see they hurt or frustration it breaks my heart. I want to hold them tell them it is going to be ok, I do get the chance sometimes but there are always teacher student precautions, whatever. My favorite part is getting to come every morning and have kids so happy to see you. One of my favorite things is one of the boys has the last name of Rogers so I call him Mr. Rogers, he doesn't like it when other people call him that. But he always tells me, "Ms. Cela I love it when you call me Mister Rogers," then he sings "Won't you be my Neighbor" it is the cutest. Anyways, maybe I will get used to the schedule but if you can please pray that I will stay healthy and get my singing voice back so that we can have lots of fun in school. Thanks!
